The Pentair 275300Z is the OEM replacement Buna-N 70 Shore top insert cap O-ring for the Pentair Full Flow (FULLFLOW) Sand and D.E. Valve. This is the seal that keeps the valve's top insert cap pressure-tight — when it fails, you'll see leakage at the cap joint during normal system operation.

Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seats at the top insert cap of the Full Flow valve body, maintaining a watertight seal under normal pool system operating pressure. A degraded or flattened O-ring at this location allows water to bypass the seal and leak at the cap joint. Replacing it restores the valve's pressure integrity. Match the part number stamped or molded on your existing O-ring — or the number listed in your valve's parts diagram — before ordering.

Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly in the groove, prevents tearing during assembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade Buna-N rubber and cause premature failure.
