The fireman's switch fuse protects the low-voltage fireman's switch circuit in your heater's electrical system. When this fuse fails, the fireman's switch circuit loses continuity, preventing the heater from firing even when all other components are functioning normally. Replacing a blown fuse with the correct OEM-rated part — 1.25 amps — ensures the circuit is restored to specification.
