The Pentair NPT to Buttress Adaptor (354588Z) is the OEM replacement adaptor for Pentair Meteor, Sand Dollar®, and Cristal-Flo II filter systems. It provides the threaded interface between the standard NPT (male pipe thread) connection and the buttress-thread fitting on the filter tank, restoring a secure, leak-free seal at the filter's plumbing connection point.

What It Does

This adaptor bridges the NPT pipe thread standard used in pool plumbing with the buttress thread profile used on the filter tank port. A damaged or cross-threaded adaptor will prevent the filter from sealing correctly, resulting in leaks at the tank connection. Replacing this component restores the correct thread engagement and pressure integrity of the filter assembly.
