Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.

This O-ring seals the seal plate on the Dynamo pump, preventing water from bypassing the seal plate assembly. A degraded or improperly seated O-ring at this location can result in air ingestion, loss of prime, or visible leakage around the pump housing. Match the part number on your existing O-ring before ordering to confirm correct sizing.
