The Pentair 35505-1116Z is the OEM replacement shaft O-ring for the Sta-Rite Plastic Slide Valve. This Buna N (NBR) O-ring seats on the valve shaft to maintain a watertight seal and prevent leakage at the shaft bore.

Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
The shaft O-ring creates the primary seal between the rotating valve shaft and the valve body. When this O-ring wears or degrades, water will weep around the shaft during operation. Replacing it restores a dry, leak-free valve exterior.

Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly in the shaft groove, prevents tearing during assembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade Buna N rubber and cause premature failure.
