OEM Seal Plate O-Ring for Pentair JWP, JWPA & ABG Series Pumps
The Pentair 35505-1438 is the OEM replacement seal plate O-ring for JWP, JWPA, and ABG series pumps. This 40 durometer O-ring seals the interface between the seal plate and pump body, preventing water from bypassing the seal assembly and protecting the motor from moisture intrusion.

Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
A degraded or flattened seal plate O-ring is a common cause of air leaks and water weeping at the pump body joint. Replacing this O-ring restores a proper pressure seal at the seal plate and is a recommended service step whenever the pump is opened for impeller or shaft seal service.

Pro Tip
Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly in the groove, prevents tearing during assembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade rubber O-rings. While the pump is open for seal plate service, inspect the shaft seal as well; replacing both components at the same time avoids a repeat disassembly if the shaft seal is near end of life.
