IMPORTANT: COLOR-SPECIFIC PART
This is the Black version of the Challenger High Flow strainer pot. Confirm the color of your existing strainer pot before ordering, as this housing is not interchangeable in appearance with other color options.
What It Does
The strainer pot forms the sealed pre-filtration chamber that houses the pump's debris basket, keeping leaves, hair, and other debris out of the impeller. A cracked, warped, or leaking strainer pot allows air into the pump housing, causing loss of prime and reduced flow. This direct-fit OEM replacement includes the 1/4 in. drain plug and drain plug O-ring, restoring the sealed chamber to factory specification.
