If your Challenger pump is plumbed into a salt chlorinator or ozone system, this EPDM and stainless steel kit is the correct choice over standard seal kits — standard nitrile seals degrade faster under prolonged oxidiser exposure. When the pump is open for seal service, it is a good time to inspect the impeller and diffuser for wear and replace the pump lid O-ring in the same service call to avoid reopening the wet end.
