The Pentair 357228Z is the OEM replacement pot for the OptiFlo® aboveground pool and spa pump, supplied complete with drain plugs.
The pot forms the front housing of the OptiFlo® pump's wet end, enclosing the strainer basket and providing the sealed chamber through which pool water passes before reaching the impeller. When the pot cracks, warps, or develops a leak at the basket seal, water loss and loss of prime follow quickly. Replacing the pot with the OEM Pentair unit restores the correct geometry and sealing surfaces, ensuring the basket seats properly and the pump holds prime. Drain plugs are included — no separate sourcing required.
