About This Item
The Pentair 471566Z is the OEM replacement water temperature thermistor probe for the ThermalFlo HP Titanium heat pump series and the UltraTemp 220 ETi heat pump/heater.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LICENSED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIRED
Electrical heater and heat pump components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service high-voltage components without proper certification.
⚠️ VERSION NOTE
For the UltraTemp 220 ETi, this probe is fitted as part of the Electrical System. Confirm your unit's configuration against the equipment parts diagram before ordering.
The thermistor probe monitors water temperature within the heat pump's hydraulic circuit, feeding real-time temperature data to the unit's control board. When this sensor fails or drifts out of calibration, the heat pump may display inaccurate temperature readings, cycle erratically, or shut down on fault codes. Replacing the probe restores accurate temperature sensing and normal control operation.

Compatibility is based on Pentair parts documentation and available OEM records. This is not an exhaustive list. For certainty, verify the part number in your equipment's manual or on the original part itself before ordering.
Pro Tip
Before ordering, check your heat pump's fault history on the control display. A thermistor fault code or an erratic temperature reading that doesn't match actual water temperature is the clearest indicator this probe needs replacement. Match the part number on the original probe to 471566Z before adding to cart.
