The run capacitor provides the phase-shifted electrical charge required to start and run the compressor motor in the UltraTemp heat pump. When a capacitor fails, the compressor may fail to start, run intermittently, or draw excessive current — leading to motor damage if not addressed promptly. This replacement includes the mounting bracket, allowing direct drop-in installation into the original bracket position within the electrical compartment.
