About This Item
The Pentair Fan Blade (473783Z) is the OEM replacement 60 Hz fan blade for the UltraTemp pool and spa heat pump series.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: HEAT PUMP SERVICE — LICENSED TECHNICIAN REQUIRED
Heat pump components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service high-voltage or refrigerant-circuit components without proper certification.
The fan blade draws air across the heat pump's evaporator coil, enabling the refrigerant cycle to extract heat from ambient air and transfer it to the pool water. A damaged, cracked, or out-of-balance blade reduces airflow efficiency, increases compressor load, and can cause vibration damage to the fan motor. Replacing a worn blade restores designed airflow and protects the broader refrigerant circuit. Match the 60 Hz designation to your unit's electrical supply frequency before ordering — a 50 Hz variant exists for international installations.

Pro Tip
Before ordering, confirm the frequency designation (60 Hz) matches the label on your UltraTemp unit — the frequency is printed on the equipment nameplate. If the blade shows visible cracking, missing pitch, or caused abnormal vibration, inspect the fan motor shaft and mounting hub for wear at the same service visit. Have a licensed technician perform the replacement and verify blade balance and clearance after installation.
