This assembly is designed for Max-E-Therm 200 (NA/LP Series) heaters manufactured after January 12, 2009. Check the date code on your heater's rating label before ordering. Heaters manufactured prior to this date require a different assembly.

The tube sheet coil assembly is the primary heat transfer component inside the MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm heater. Pool or spa water circulates through the coil while combustion gases pass over it, transferring heat to the water. A degraded or failed coil assembly results in reduced heating efficiency, water leakage within the heater cabinet, or complete loss of heat output. Cupro nickel construction provides enhanced resistance to corrosion from pool water chemistry compared to standard copper alloys.

If your heater is a Max-E-Therm 200 (NA/LP Series), this assembly is only correct for units manufactured after January 12, 2009. Also confirm whether your heater is a natural gas (NA) or propane (LP) model, as both variants use the same tube sheet assembly — but confirming your model number against the Fits Into table above eliminates any ordering error. When a licensed technician opens the heater for this service, it is good practice to inspect the header and manifold connections at the same time, as these components are subject to the same water chemistry exposure as the coil assembly.
