About This Item
The Pentair Air Pressure Switch (475987) is the OEM replacement pressure switch for the ETi® 400 and UltraTemp ETi® series pool and spa heaters.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: HEATER COMPONENT — PROFESSIONAL SERVICE REQUIRED
Gas and electrical heater components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service gas or high-voltage components without proper certification.
The air pressure switch monitors airflow through the heater's combustion blower circuit. When the blower reaches the correct operating pressure, the switch closes and signals the control board to allow ignition to proceed. A failed or out-of-calibration switch is a common cause of heater lockout — the unit will not fire even when all other conditions are met. Replacing this switch with the correct OEM part restores the pressure threshold the heater was designed to operate within.

Pro Tip
Before ordering, locate the existing pressure switch inside the heater cabinet and confirm the part number printed or stamped on the switch body matches 475987. Air pressure switches can vary by blower configuration and pressure setpoint — installing a switch with an incorrect setpoint will cause the heater to either fail to fire or run outside its designed operating parameters. If the original switch is no longer legible, cross-reference against your heater's model number using the equipment's service manual.
