About This Item
The Pentair Thermal Fuse – White (475998) is the OEM replacement thermal fuse for the Pentair ETi Series pool and spa heater line, including the ETi 250 and ETi® 400 models.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LICENSED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIRED
Gas and electrical heater components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service gas or high-voltage components without proper certification.
The thermal fuse is a one-time-use safety device within the ETi heater's electrical circuit. When the heater's internal temperature exceeds a safe operating threshold, the fuse opens the circuit permanently, shutting the unit down to prevent damage to the heat exchanger, burner assembly, and connected equipment. A tripped thermal fuse does not reset — it must be replaced to restore heater operation. Before ordering, confirm the color of the original fuse: this listing is for the White version.

Pro Tip
A thermal fuse opens in response to an overtemperature condition — meaning the heater shut itself down for a reason. Before installing the replacement fuse, have a licensed technician identify and correct the underlying cause (restricted water flow, failed high-limit sensor, blocked flue, etc.). Replacing the fuse without addressing the root cause will result in repeat failures and potential equipment damage. Also confirm the color of the original fuse before ordering — fuse color typically indicates the trip temperature rating, and installing the wrong fuse can compromise heater protection.
