OEM Spider Gasket for the Sta-Rite 1-1/2" Side Mount MultiPort Valve
The Pentair 51008400 is the OEM replacement spider gasket for the Sta-Rite 1-1/2" side mount multiport valve. If your multiport valve is leaking between port positions or allowing water to bypass the selected port, a worn or cracked spider gasket is the most common cause — this is the correct replacement part.
What It Does
The spider gasket sits inside the multiport valve body and seals each port channel as the valve handle rotates through its positions (Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, Closed). When the gasket deteriorates, water migrates between ports, causing backwash water to return to the pool or filter media to bypass the tank entirely. Replacing the spider gasket restores clean port-to-port sealing and correct valve function.
