The Pentair QuikSkim™ 2" Test Plug Removal Tool (510700) is the purpose-built service tool for extracting 2-inch test plugs from Pentair QuikSkim skimmers.

When pressure testing a plumbing line, 2-inch test plugs are inserted into the skimmer throat to isolate the system. Without the correct removal tool, extracting a seated test plug can be difficult and risks damaging the skimmer fitting or the plug itself. This tool is designed specifically for the QuikSkim skimmer to pull test plugs cleanly and without damage to the surrounding fitting.  This works for both QuikSkim and QuickSkim Ultra skimmers - prior A&A Manufacturing, now a Pentair brand.

Keep this tool on hand any time you perform pressure testing on a QuikSkim-equipped plumbing system. Test plugs that have been seated under pressure can be difficult to break free by hand — attempting removal without the correct tool risks cracking the skimmer throat or deforming the plug, turning a routine service step into a costly repair.
