The Pentair Eclipse Air Bleed Strainer (55024400) is the OEM replacement air bleed strainer for the Pentair Predator Fiberglass Cartridge Filter.
What It Does
The air bleed strainer is positioned at the air relief assembly on the filter tank. It screens debris from the air bleed path, preventing particulate from obstructing the manual air relief valve and ensuring air can be properly purged from the filter housing during startup and backwash cycles. A clogged or damaged strainer can impair air release, leading to air lock conditions that reduce filter performance.
