The Pentair Tank and Trap Body Assembly (C176-71P) is the OEM replacement strainer housing assembly for Pentair Dyna-Glas, Dyna-Max, and Dyna-Wave series inground pumps, as well as compatible Silentflo™ inground pump models.
What It Does
The tank and trap assembly forms the strainer body of the pump's wet end — housing the strainer basket and providing the sealed chamber that captures debris before it reaches the impeller. A cracked, warped, or leaking tank and trap body compromises suction, allows debris bypass, and can lead to impeller damage. Replacing the assembly with the correct OEM part restores the sealed strainer chamber and protects pump performance.
