The feed mast is the central structural and hydraulic component that connects the cleaner's hose to the drive turbine assembly, directing pressurized water flow through the cleaner body. A cracked, worn, or leaking feed mast disrupts the internal water pressure that drives the cleaner's movement and suction, resulting in erratic travel patterns or a complete loss of cleaning performance. This replacement includes the O-ring and swivel, restoring a sealed, full-rotation connection at the hose attachment point.

Pro Tip

Before installing the new feed mast, inspect the swivel connection point on the cleaner body for wear or cracking — a damaged seat will cause the new swivel to leak regardless of O-ring condition. When seating the O-ring, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to help it seat evenly and prevent tearing during assembly. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade the O-ring and shorten its service life.
