The Pentair PKG 51 is the OEM Hair and Lint Strainer Package for C, CC, and D Series pool and spa pumps — a complete 6-inch cast iron trap assembly with basket, connecting via 2 in. NPT.
What It Does
The hair and lint strainer trap intercepts debris — hair, lint, leaves, and other particulate — before water reaches the pump impeller. The cast iron trap body provides the structural durability required for commercial pump applications. When the strainer basket becomes clogged or the trap body is damaged, flow restriction and pump cavitation follow; replacing the complete package restores full hydraulic performance and protects the pump from debris ingestion.
