About This Item
The Pentair Left Shaft Retainer (R03087) is the OEM replacement hardware component for the ProVac and Super ProVac series of flexible pool vacuums.
The left shaft retainer secures the drive shaft assembly on the correct side of the vacuum head, maintaining proper alignment of the internal drive mechanism. A damaged or missing retainer allows the shaft to shift laterally, disrupting the vacuum's movement pattern and accelerating wear on surrounding drive components. Replacing it restores the mechanical integrity of the drive train and returns the cleaner to its designed operating motion.

Pro Tip
The left and right shaft retainers are mirror-image components — they are not interchangeable. Before ordering, confirm you are replacing the left-side retainer specifically. If you are servicing the drive shaft assembly, inspect the right shaft retainer at the same time and replace both if either shows wear or cracking, to avoid a repeat disassembly.
