About This Item
The Pentair Spa Chamber (R172037) is the OEM replacement spa chamber for the Pentair Model 302 Spa Hot Tub Feeder and is also available as an optional spa chamber upgrade for the Model 320 In-Line Automatic Feeder.
The spa chamber is the internal compartment within the automatic chemical feeder that holds chlorine or bromine tablets and controls their dissolution rate. In spa and hot tub applications, water volume and turnover rates differ significantly from full-size pools, and the spa chamber is sized accordingly to deliver the correct sanitizer concentration for smaller water volumes. A cracked, warped, or degraded chamber can result in inconsistent chemical output — either under-sanitizing the water or releasing an uncontrolled dose of sanitizer.

Pro Tip
The spa chamber is standard equipment on the Model 302 but is an optional accessory on the Model 320 — if you're adding spa capability to a Model 320 feeder, confirm your existing feeder does not already include this chamber before ordering. When servicing the feeder, inspect the chamber walls and seating surfaces for chemical etching or stress cracks; even hairline fractures can allow tablets to dissolve unevenly and bypass the metering mechanism.
