About This Item
The Pentair U9-369Z is the OEM replacement tank flange O-ring for the Pentair (formerly Sta-Rite) Multiport 2 In. Valve, providing a pressure-tight seal at the valve-to-filter tank flange connection.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seats at the flange joint between the multiport valve body and the filter tank, maintaining a watertight seal under operating pressure. When this O-ring deteriorates or is displaced, water will bypass the seal at the valve base — typically presenting as a visible leak around the valve flange during pump operation. Replacing this O-ring restores the integrity of that joint. Match the part number stamped or molded on your existing O-ring before ordering.

Pro Tip
Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly in the flange groove, prevents tearing during reassembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade the rubber compound and cause premature failure.
