Q: Does the tub need to be drained and refilled to begin using EZ SPA® TOTAL CARE?
A: There is no need to drain and refill when switching to EZ SPA® TOTAL CARE as the weekly shock treatment. Simply begin using the appropriate amount of TOTAL CARE for the amount of hot tub water each week. When it is time to drain and refill the hot tub, use the EZ SPA® EZ3 Kit and start with the cleanest water possible. 

Q: Can TOTAL CARE be used in hot tubs with a salt system, ozonator, UV or a mineral system?
A: Yes, but you will need less of it. EZ SPA® TOTAL CARE is a powerful shock oxidizer that breaks down contaminants and increases the efficiency of chlorine or bromine hot tubs using all types of alternative systems. Use ½ oz. per 100 gallons of water (half the regular dose) if the hot tub also has a salt system, ozone, UV or a mineral system.

Q: When should the filter be cleaned after adding EZ SPA® START with a fresh fill?

It is important to wait approximately 12 hours but no longer than 24 hours after adding START to remove and clean the filters thoroughly.
