⚠️ IMPORTANT: Partial Grid Also Required for Full Filter Service
The Pentair Purex SM/SMBW 2036 and SM/SMBW 4036 filters require 7 full grids (FG-1236) + 1 partial grid for a complete re-grid. This listing is for the full grid only. You will also need companion partial grid Unicel FG-1235 (OEM: 07-0022) to complete your filter service.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do Not Mix Premier and Purex Grids
Do not substitute or mix Premier and Purex grids. These grid types use different manifold connections. Mixing them will compromise the seal, allowing DE powder to bypass filtration and return to the pool — and can cause equipment damage. Use only Purex-compatible grids in these systems.
Pro Tip: Always turn off the pump and release all pressure from the filter tank via the air relief valve before opening the tank to replace grids. During service, inspect the tank o-ring and manifold assembly to ensure a proper seal before repressurizing the system.
