The Unicel C-9478 is a precision-engineered 9000 Series replacement filter cartridge for the Jacuzzi Brothers CFR-150 filter system, delivering 150 sq. ft. of filtration area through 227 precision pleats of 4 oz. Reemay® 2040 spun-bonded polyester media. Unicel's exact-spec manufacturing means a proper fit in the CFR-150 housing — with the correct asymmetrical end opening dimensions that this filter requires for a proper seal.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: No Center Core
This cartridge does not include a center core. It is designed to fit over the internal manifold of your Jacuzzi Brothers CFR-150 filter housing. This is correct and expected for this model — do not attempt to install a separate core.

About OEM Part Numbers & End Cap Colors: Jacuzzi Brothers originally offered the CFR-150 cartridge in two media weights, identified by end cap color — black for the 4 oz. heavy-duty version and slate blue for the 3 oz. standard version. The Unicel C-9478 uses 4 oz. Reemay® 2040 media, matching the heavier-duty OEM specification, and is a compatible replacement for both OEM variants. Note: Unicel replacement end cap color will differ from the original OEM color.
Pro Tip: The CFR-150 uses intentionally asymmetrical inner openings — the top measures 5 13/16" and the bottom measures 6 1/16". If you're verifying fit before ordering, measure both ends of your existing cartridge. A mismatch on either end is the most common cause of a perceived wrong-part situation on this model. The C-9478's 9 15/16" outer diameter also gives you a quick outer-dimension confirmation without removing the cartridge from housing.
