The Unicel 8CH-502 delivers 50 square feet of filtration capacity in a compact wide-format design — 7 1/4" long with an 8 1/2" outer diameter — purpose-built for Vita Spa filter housings. Engineered with 258 precision pleats of 3 oz. Reemay 2033 spunbond polyester media and a 2" MPT threaded bottom connection, the 8CH-502 is the direct replacement for Vita Spas OEM part number PVT 50WH.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Remove Pad Adapter Before Installing
Some Vita Spa filter canisters include a flat, non-threaded pad adapter at the bottom of the housing — used for older drop-in style filters. To install the 8CH-502, unscrew and remove this adapter plate first to expose the 2" female threads in the housing. The 8CH-502's MPT bottom threads directly into those exposed fittings. Applicable to all 2006 and later models, and earlier models with slotted bottoms once the pad adapter is removed.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Full Filter Service May Require 2 Cartridges
Several larger Vita Spa models — including the Joli and Nuage — use a dual-cartridge system requiring two 8CH-502 filters for a complete service. Replacing only one while leaving a worn cartridge in place reduces overall filtration efficiency. Add 2 units to your cart if your spa model requires a pair.
