The Unicel 8000 Series 8CH-951 delivers 40 sq. ft. of filtration surface — a genuine upgrade over the original Bullfrog Spas Oct-70 cartridge (rated at 35 sq. ft.) — packed into 244 precision pleats of 3 oz. Reemay 2033 polyester media. The result is improved water clarity and extended service intervals without changing your hardware.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Full Filter Service May Require 2 Cartridges
Many Bullfrog Spa models use a dual-filter system requiring 2 cartridges for a complete service. Replacing only one while leaving a worn cartridge in place reduces overall filtration efficiency. Check your existing filter setup and add 2 units to your cart if your spa has two filter housings.
⚠️ NOTE: Also Replaces Older Bullfrog 6" OAL Filter Element
The 8CH-951 is also the correct replacement for the older Bullfrog filter element with a 6" overall length and shorter threaded end. If your existing cartridge measures approximately 6" tip-to-tip, this is still the right part.
