About This Item
The Hayward CX591XRE is the OEM replacement filter cartridge element for the SwimClear Multi-Element Cartridge Filter (C7030), rated at 700 sq ft of filter area per element. This is the genuine Hayward single-element replacement — sold as one (1) cartridge element.
IMPORTANT: MULTI-ELEMENT FILTER — VERIFY QUANTITY BEFORE ORDERING
The Hayward C7030 SwimClear filter uses multiple CX591XRE elements to reach its full 725 sq ft system capacity. This listing is for one (1) cartridge element. Check your filter's installation manual for the total number of elements required and order accordingly. The 4-pack is the CX591XREPAK4.
The CX591XRE sits inside the C7030 SwimClear housing as one of the filter's element stack, capturing dirt, debris, and fine particulate from pool water as it passes through the pleated media. When one or more elements become fouled and cleaning no longer restores flow, replacing the full set restores the filter to its rated filtration capacity and keeps backpressure within normal operating range.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When it's time to replace elements in your C7030, swap the entire set at once rather than individual cartridges. Mixing a new element with heavily worn ones forces the newer cartridge to carry a disproportionate share of the flow, shortening its service life and reducing overall filtration efficiency. Before installing, measure your old elements — length and outer diameter — against the specs on the new cartridge to confirm you have the right part. For routine maintenance, rinse pleats with a garden hose (fan tip, low pressure) working top to bottom; avoid pressure washers, which can damage the media. For stubborn oils and sunscreen buildup, soak elements overnight in a dedicated cartridge filter cleaner before rinsing and reinstalling.
