About This Item

The Pentair Saddle Clamp (R172264) is the OEM replacement clamp for the Pentair 300-29X Commercial Size Automatic Chemical Feeder.

IMPORTANT: TWO CLAMPS REQUIRED PER FEEDER
Each 300-29X Commercial Size Chemical Feeder requires 2 saddle clamps for correct installation. This listing is for 1 clamp. Order 2 to complete a full replacement set.

The saddle clamp mounts the 300-29X feeder body directly onto the return line, holding it firmly against the pipe at the injection point. A loose or cracked clamp can allow the feeder to shift under system pressure, interrupting chemical dosing and risking pipe connection failure. Replacing a worn clamp restores a secure, leak-free mount.

Poolaroo Pro Tip

When replacing a saddle clamp, inspect the pipe surface at the clamp contact points for any chemical etching or surface degradation caused by chlorine or bromine exposure. If the pipe surface is pitted or weakened, have a pool professional evaluate the pipe before reinstalling the feeder. Also confirm the clamp torque against the 300-29X installation manual — overtightening on PVC pipe can crack the pipe wall at the injection fitting.
