About This Item
The Hayward MaxFlo VS 415 Variable-Speed Pump (W3VSP23415) pairs true variable-speed circulation with on-board OmniX automation, giving in-ground pool owners app-based control, quiet operation, and DOE-compliant efficiency in one drop-in package.
IMPORTANT: DUAL-VOLTAGE, FIELD-CONFIGURABLE
This pump operates on 230V or 115V (60 Hz) and is factory pre-set for 230V. Voltage is selected via an internal jumper and should be configured by a qualified electrician to match your home's supply.
Unique Features & Technology
- OmniX onboard automation — the pump's built-in module connects via simple, intuitive Bluetooth® wireless technology, letting you run the pump from the OmniX mobile app without a separate controller.
- Fully configurable operation — set time-of-day schedules, dial in true variable-speed settings, and monitor water temperature (via an in-line sensor installed between the pump and filter) directly from the app.
- Expandable connectivity — add the optional Hayward OmniX Gateway (sold separately) for control from anywhere; the OmniX ecosystem also links with other compatible OmniX devices without a centralized controller.
- Standalone-capable — if you prefer not to use the app, the OmniX module cable can be disconnected and the pump run on simple legacy single-button programming (HIGH/MED/LOW/STOP).
- Built-in freeze protection that is configurable in the app's equipment settings, plus user and account management tools for both homeowners and pool professionals.
- Hayward states this Series carries agency listings including the Department of Energy, NSF, and UL, and is backed by Hayward's 3-year parts warranty.

Pool Size & Application
The MaxFlo VS 415 is built for permanently installed in-ground pools (and marked hot tubs/spas); it is not intended for storable/above-ground pools. Its variable-speed motor lets you run low, efficient speeds for daily circulation and ramp up for cleaning, heating, or spa-jet demand.
System Integration
The onboard OmniX module gives this pump its own Bluetooth-based control point — no separate controller required — and it can log into an existing Hayward OmniLogic account. Adding the optional OmniX Gateway (W3GATEWAYX1) extends control to away-from-home access. For strainer-cover connections, Hayward's SPX2700UNKIT union connector kit is the confirmed match for this MaxFlo VS 400 Series pump.
Common Replacement Parts
Keep this pump running with genuine Hayward wear parts: the SPX2300M strainer basket and the SPX4000FG drain plug & gasket are both sized for the MaxFlo VS 400 Series. The pump's shaft seal assembly (SPX2700SAV, Viton) is also a confirmed fit for eventual service.
Poolaroo Pro Tip
Out of the box, this pump primes at 100% speed for up to 10 minutes, then settles into a factory 50% speed schedule until you customize it in the OmniX app. For best efficiency, dial in a lower daily circulation speed and reserve higher speeds for spa jets, cleaning cycles, or heater operation. Before winterizing, remove both drain plugs and the strainer cover to fully drain the volute — never wrap the pump in plastic for storage.
