What It Does
The standpipe assembly routes filtered water from the laterals at the base of the filter tank up through the hub and out to the return line. A damaged or deteriorated standpipe allows unfiltered water — or sand — to bypass the media bed and re-enter the pool. Replacing this assembly restores the filter's sealed flow path and prevents sand from passing through to the pool.
