Designed for in-ground pool installations, the Super Pump High Efficiency Pump suits both new pool builds and replacement of an existing pump on an established plumbing system.
The Uni-bracket mounting base adapts to 48- and 56-frame motors, and the housing design allows the motor and drive group to be serviced by removing the housing cap screws without disturbing existing pipe or mounting connections. As with all pool pump installations, connect only to a GFCI-protected branch circuit and have wiring performed by a qualified electrician per local electrical code.
Keep this pump running with genuine Hayward wear parts: Super Pump Strainer Basket (SPX1600M), Strainer Cover (SPX1600D), Cover Gasket (SPX1600S), Housing Gasket (SPX1600T), Shaft Seal Assembly (SPX1600Z2), Impeller (SPX2607C), and Drain Plug & Gasket (SPX4000FG) — one of the latter is required per pump.
Before the first freeze, remove the drain plug and the strainer cover to fully drain the pump housing, then reinstall the plug and store the strainer cover loosely in place — running or storing this pump with water trapped inside during freezing conditions can crack the housing and voids the warranty.
